    This index includes marriages from several Roman Catholic Parishes in Rochester, New York: St Joseph (1836 – 1910), SS Peter Paul (1843 – 1910), St Boniface (1861 – 1919), Holy Family (1864 – 1910), Holy Redeemer (1868 – 1880), St Michael (1874 – 1910), St John the Evangelist, Greece (1876 – 1910), Our Lady of Perpetual Help (1905 – 1910), St Augustine (1899 – 1910), Holy Trinity, Webster (1861 – 1910), St Bridget (1854 – 1880), Our Lady of Victory (1848 – 1910), St Francis Xavier (1888 – 1910), Mother of Sorrows , Greece (1849 – 1908), St Monica (1898 – 1910), St Joseph, Penfield (1876 – 1908), St Mary (1843 – 1880), St Stanislaus (1890 – 1910), St Patrick (1833 – 1842), Holy Cross, Charlotte (1877 – 1910), Immaculate Conception (1849 – 1910), Our Lady of Mt Carmel (1906 – 1910), St George (1908 – 1910), Church of the Nativity, Brockport (1852 – 1910), and St Anthony of Padua (1896 – 1910).<\/p>\n

    Also indexed are marriages from three Evangelical Churches in Rochester, New York: Trinity (1842 – 1880), Salem (1874 – 1962), and St Paul (1862 – 1962).<\/p>\n

    Three Episcopal Churches are indexed: St Luke (1820 – 1850), St Paul (1829 – 1850), and Trinity (1846 – 1850).<\/p>\n

    Three Lutheran Churches are indexed: Zion (1835 – 1880), Concordia (1877 – 1962), and Immanuel (1860 – 1950).

    The kinds of information reported varied from time period to time period throughout the 1800\u2019s. In general, there were no birth notices<\/u>; marriage and death notices might contain only the names of the persons involved. Death notices rarely list survivors. Longer obituary articles were usually written only for public figures. Remember that the information indexed in this database was taken from the Rochester newspapers exactly as originally printed.
